I arrived in Boston on July 24th' 2000. Checked into a hotel for a month before moving into an apartment. While at the hotel I happened to come across an advertisement for the Northeast's largest air show. So me and my buddies Dinesh and Kutts headed to Springfield, MA. This picture illustrates the cargo capacity of a C-5. Not your typical grocery shopping cart...
The C-5 taxies out. Notice the relative size of the F-18 in the foreground.
Forty years old and still going strong - the massive B-52 bomber. The wing flaps give you and idea of the lift produced.
The A-10 "Warthog" - named because of it's unconventional profile. A pilot's wife enjoys the privilege.
A C-5 comes in for a landing.
C-5 about to gobble up Dinesh!
I'd like one of these babies under my Jeep's hood.
C-160 variant (of the C-130). The re-fuelling boom is displayed prominently.
I thought the Air Force was going too far in their recruiting efforts...luckily this young 'un in a C-130 cockpit was only a visitor.
Classic profile of a C-130. I like the way they aligned the props for effect.
The S3 Viking. A carrier based aircraft.
The B1B bomber.
KC-10 tanker. Would you believe it's actually a converted DC-10 ?
Aerobatic display. The real stuff is on video.
Dinesh and Kutts hanging out. This was their first airshow. I think they'll be back next year.
C-5 fly-by.
I was there! Me in front of an AH-64 apache gunship.
That red color...a Chinook.
This pilot noticed the camera and promptly posed - good sport!
The T-5 Talon. The black paint gives it a mean look.
